Okay, lots to report today. So I've decided to replace the MOTM with staff (for some reasons...) and I'm going to try my best to keep up with changing the weather daily. Oh, and you should all be really proud of me because I finally updated the COTM. Last thing, we have a mini banner!
8.20.08
Yes, the moment has finally arrived. The moment you have ALL been anticipating:: Staff Auditions!! I will be posting a form under the Chat board for all to fill out. Positions available:: One Co-Admin, one Global Moderator (possibly two), and at least two moderators (that may be changed). Good luck to all! And please don't be a sore loser; if you don't get to be staff, don't quit.
8.22.08
So we have a new board, The Desolate Road. This board is for those of you who like to wander...
Also, we really need a new banner. I'd really appreciate it!
8.23.08
I made a new banner for the site though it may be changed again, soon. Also, I resized the side tables so no more complaining about scrolling from side to side!
8.24.08
So I'm really sorry to all about the maitenance mode mishap! I thought I had turned it off but I guess it didn't work and I was very busy that day so I didn't have time to go check on the site!
Also, if you still have to scroll left and right, let me know, I can fix it.
8.25.08
Staff Auditions end tomorrow at 8 PM so get your auditions in! There are plenty of spots to give out! Remember, anyone can try out, no matter how many posts you have made or how new to proboards you are. We need more auditioners! Also, again, I am sorry for the maintenance mode mishap!
One last thing:: The site is going into maitenance mode again. I'm sorry to stop all of you from posting but there are some changes that I am making. Don't freak out, I just have a lot to change about the site and I promise it will come back out of maitenance mode this time :P. The site is going to be VERY different when you come back! I know we had that dormant period, and Cerise HAS quit (I'm taking over) but she is still guiding me via email (I almost said spirit! LOL!) and so you guys aren't alone. I hope I'm not! I hope Ascetia takes off again. I'm going to try and get us a new fall banner! =D 10.15.08
NEW CONTEST in the chat board (announcement everywhere, though!). Please enter!
The Puppet::Kzak The Puppeteer::Kempsie Quirks:: Kzak is the lead stallion of Emerald Waters. He was the fourth charrie ever created on Ascetia and has two twins with his lead mare, Anntho. He's had a rough start in life as the weakling of his band, but he found a new leash through an elderly mentor and overcame the odds to become herd stallion. He misses his mate Anntho, and he's been sadder than usual with the loss of his band, but you can still find him in his territory: Emerald Waters, and we're sure old Kzak will stay there.
Hello there literate roleplayers. Are you tired of bland Light vs. Dark plots, equine RPGs that all seem the same, and plots that don't affect your character?
Well we've got a surprise for you. At The Secret it's not just about good and evil. In fact, good and evil don't have a lot to do with things. No matter whose side you're on, you can be as nice or as cruel as you see fit. But if you live in the north you'd better be tough if you want to stay alive. Here's a summary of what kinds of characters you can make:
Southern equines: The Resistance. You like freedom and would rather be left to your own devices. Conquering is not really your thing, you just want to be left alone to start a herd. Weakland equines: The Captives. You keep your head down and hope you don't get beaten up too often. You dream of escaping to the south, but know you'll be killed for trying. Mostly mares live here, though there is a small number of stallions. They usually get beaten down the most so they can't rebel. Northern equines: Tartarus's Legions. You work for the mastermind, Tartarus, the one who blew the news about the object of power out into the open. You answer to his captain Atlas, and you spend your time fighting, bullying mares in the Weaklands, and training colts for the army. If you have any spare time you can gather a small herd. Haven of Hesperides: The Secret Keepers. You know not hate nor greed, and you live within the walls of the Haven. You may leave to explore, but other equines seem so different to you. You live in peace and philosophy, seeking knowledge and enlightenment. But you know what is brewing, and the battle will come to your doorstep even though they cannot break down the door.
We are also accepting staff applications for Global Moderators, Graphics Designers and Skin Designer.
What's going on... ?
There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?
The board is set, the pieces are in play. Whose side will you join?
death of me - New Twilight RPG « Result #3 on Dec 28, 2008, 4:40pm »
Forks, Washington has always been a place where things have been simple. Recently with the influx of vampires, people have failed to notice those that have gone missing. The werewolves can't hurt the Cullen clan, they've not broken their contract, they've not hurt a soul. But it's open season on vampires. With everyone in a whirl-wind of vampiric chaos and death tolls in Forks rising, the Volturi still haven't shown their faces to stop the madness.
¤ ¤ ¤
Following a trio in Italy, the Volturi are winded and tired. Their bodies go forever, but their minds, caused by blackness in their tracking and the inability to see the ones being tracked they're growing weary, ready to return home. That is when a sense comes. the smell of a creature closer. He's bleeding, wounded. He's what they're hunting. The fourth to the group, making it a trio that's on the loose, rather than four. His words lead them all to Forks, where the Volturi come armed, ready to kill.
¤ ¤ ¤
They carry no scent. They are close. Two males, a single female, each varying in size, each meek and unwilling to become part of a group. What are they? What could be dangerous enough to distract the Volturi when they were clearly challenged by such scary numbers that have climbed in Forks?

This RPG is set during the time of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novel. But it's in your hands now if you, the player, will simply play out her series plot or deviate from it. Only you can tell ... or can you?
A Twilight RPG Rated 18+ (UK), R (US) Brand New || Canons Needed
History:: I normally incorperate Eves history into her posts, like a header and footer, most sites allowthis and I feel it makes me play her charry much better?? will you allow this or should I put it on now, I do think that it works better when I tease it out while im rping O.o
Example Post:: May its human sorry, but its all I can find ATM
So this was it iced eyes fell upon the overgrown head stone of her brother, he had ripped himself from this world all by himself only to leave Eve to be alone, he knew he was all she had, was that god forsaken drug more important to him than his own sister? he had left her by overdose, never would Eve touch coke again, never. Sure she enjoyed weed but there was no way in hell that she would let coke, that stuff that killed her brother come near her ever again.
It was Evelyn that payed for the head stone, and it was Evelyn that turned up to the funeral and now it was just Evelyn that would come and visit. sure this was no place to meet anyone but Eve needed that feeling of hope and that feeling that her brother who helped her through all the hard times at home was there to help her once again, to comfort her when life wasn't going as expected, but it didn't help anymore, she just felt empty as usual
OK so she didn't grow up in a poor household, in fact they were quite well off but they were ignored, whats the point of having stupid kids if you don't even speak to them! What the hell is the point? We all have memory's right? I bet every little happy kid out there has great memory's of going for a bike ride with there parents and baking with there mother, Eve doesn't, none of the diamond kids do.
Eve's warm breath made clouds of condensation in the chilling surroundings, we all remember pretending to smoke when we were kids, those were the days, but these days she didn't have to pretend, she of course didn't smoke cigarettes but weed wasn't exactly here and there every now and then for her but she wasn't a addict, she would never stoop that low, ever.
User Name:: Evelyn Role playing Experience:: 0.5 (6months ^_^) How do you like Ascetia so far?:: Yes Any changes you would make?:: not so bright, I had to redo my brightness settings on my monitor to see things lmao Code word::JAZZ!!!!

Got too Obvious - Affilate « Result #9 on Oct 24, 2008, 10:59am »
Years and years were flashing by in the times where humans ruled the earth and all. But the horses weren’t happy with all this ruling. Like many other stories the humans died of nucular war. But no, not this time. Not in this story. This story is far more powerful and gorrie as this started on a couple of nights before Halloween. The night of the fight is cruel among the horses. The elderly ones gathered around a cut down maple tree and talked over what would happen. ”Put an end to this mess!” One would shout and all would nod and agree with a mumbled yes. ”No nuculer war this time. No…its nearly Halloween! I say we give them the FULL scare!” The leader yelled over them all and it rang out among the trees and he laughed and everyone agreed with shouts of enthusiasm. They planned their death. Murder, yes but how? They were horses. Everyone thought and suddenly they got an idea. Later the week on Halloween night, Stallions were sent out to kill the humans. It only took the half of the night to rid us of the humans in our part. Stallions called other part of the world and then it happened. Everyone died. Everyone, millions killed and butchered before the naked eye.
A year went past and all kept well and everyone felt free. But many were trapped and couldn’t be freed. Everyone blamed the leader for not thinking of those. Half of the beautiful horses were trapped. The purebreds to push the race forward. The Leader gathered the elders again in the night. The thunder flashed and the lightning crashed and the rain beated upon their backs. ”We shall send for the armies to set them free!” The Stallion spoke out. Everyone shook their heads. ”Bolt and Steel is our weakness. We cannot break through it.” The youngest spoke sighing. Everyone nodded to his words and the Leader nodded with them. ”But we can get through the wood at the back!” He cried. Everyone nodded again and the leader smirked. Soon everyone was set free. But later did they realize that these horses had never been free and now turned everything worse than it really was. The Leader sighed again as he lay down on his death bed. He was the eldest and the elders crowded around him. He spoke these last words: ”Split the horses into groups, match them and then they will fight amoung themselves their own alliance!” He croaked before lieing his cranium down and death crept upon him.
A week went past, everyone bewildered without the Elder’s leader. A new one was voted and he kept by the past leaders last words. ”We shall split the Alliances. The Arrowheads, like Indians. Attackers of everything and war makers. Then there shall be the Outlaws, who have betrayed us and then have gone to the outskirts of the Land and plan their next move there! Then the Key keepers, they shall keep the key of the book of wisdom, but they are still free to claim and fight! Then the Hostiles who cannot leave the Land without permission of the key keepers, leader….” Soon the law was spaced out. Everyone was spaced around. Never next to each other as war would have broken out. In the Middle of the land was the Common grounds and most went there. That was the true story, but many tell it differently…But the book of wisdom was the best. Key holders saw the book now and then, the book that told what would happen in the future. It was said that the horse named Key’s first born would be the one, to bring us to battle and to find out who would be the true leaders of the Lands. Now, enough. You must be on your way, yes? Well then remember the story, and look out for the first born…..

In a land far off from all of the world we know so much, was an island. It was a big island with different regions of different enviornments and elements. It was called Relicque . . .
The lands of Relicque were put into six regions. One for each element and one for the Shadow equines. The other region was for the terrains where any equine could go from the birthing grounds to the breeding grounds and meeting grounds where young femmes could be claimed. The Water terrain contains four terrains that comply the Water element, each has it's own water source and whatnot. The Water terrains are some of the most spacious of all the lands of Relicque. The Air terrains comply to their element as well with wind and open sky. The Fire lands comply to those who can stand the heat. As the saying goes, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Their lands are mostly deserts and barren plains, however, there is one desert oasis lands. The Earth terrain contains many waterfalls and streams and is very earthy so to speak. These terrains are as beautiful as the Water terrains. The Shadow lands on the other hand is very desolate and dark. The lands contain the battlefield upon which Relicque's last battle was played.
Upon the island were four equines. They all had one thing in common...they were elementals. One of them fire, one Earth, one Air, and one of the Water descent. they all had their own powers as well as strengths and weaknesses. They founded these lands of Relicque. Ryen was the Fire elemental. He had a very high strung and spit fire like personality. He was as black as the stormy sky on a stormy night, just without the lightning. He was of Spanish Arabian blood. Then there was Eirinyn of the Earth descent. She was a bright grey with dark dapples. She also had one gray eye and one green eye. Another thing special about her was her markings. She had a black circle around the skin around her right eye and left eye and also had an 'R' on her hips. She was kind and willing. She was of the Percheron blood.
Among the Air was Aeolynn, a dark bay tobiano mare who had a very wise and flirty side to her. She was never afraid to put herself out there. She had white markings on her legs that were in the shape of vines that crawled up her legs. She had no other markings beyond that. She came from purely Paint Horse blood. Finally, there was Rhasyne of the Water desent. He was a shy, but courage fellow who was as white as snow and had deep, beautitful blue eyes. He came from Andalusian descent. All of these equines were the foundation of Relicque as it is today.
On the other side, a small area that is known as the Shadow Lands lives the shadow equus. they had their own special powers known as the most ultimate and elite of any. They had the power of invisiblity, but also had the strenghth of a mountain that could last forever in battle. They were practically and inevitably invincible.
War had broken out in the lands of Relicque that lasted years and then went dormant, but there are now signs beginning to show that ware is upon Relicque again. The four lords and ladies have passed, but their descentdants are still here.
RUN TO ME,. « Result #11 on Oct 10, 2008, 4:26pm »
wild horses in the moonlit sky.
Freedom, smell that fresh air. Let it linger through your nose. Galloping across hill and plain, tossing long locks. Rear high and batter the sky, show rage and beauty in one movement. The Earth tremble beneath your hooves, King of your freedom, Queen of your soul, you will watch the stars glow at night. This is what it is like, to be free, to be me, to be a wild horse. Run to me.
Bred into the wild, these ponies have never known the loving touch of a human and that is the way it will always be. On an island set apart from ‘civilization’ most haven’t even heard to humans, and those who have, have never seen one before.
Stallions battle amongst each other, looking for the best place to raise their own families and take care of their mares which they often steal from other stallions. Mares do the best they can to rise up in ranks to benefit their foals, few are at peace in Exodus – often fleeing or fighting for their lives, a war is ongoing for the horses cannot find harmony. With so many of them and so little food sources everyone is on edge, so dare you try and make it through the land of Exodus – with the Exodus ponies and horses.
In Exodus, you can breed, battle and live your horses lives to the best on the island, trying to find their way from the Darks to Lights, or maybe even neutrals, which have been against each other since eternity.
Check Exodus out today, we are a new rp and willing for many new members! So join up and start rping today!
HOW THE SITE GOT ITS NAME,
There was once a pony by the name of Exodus - but he was not an ordinary pony. He was half unicorn, as white as snow, with pale blue eyes as clear as the sky.
He was the king of all the lands, so wise he was - clever no - but wisdom was etched in his very face.
Everyone wished to be just like him - but a terrible darkness was coming - something not even Exodus could stop - a group of dark horses that 'conveniently' called themselves 'the darks.'
They slaughtered Exodus, staining his pure white coat a bloody red.
Now there are three herds, run by different equines and no one is at peace...
One hundred years ago, in a time of darkness, a young pup was born. She possessed a coat of pure black, and her eyes were liquid amber. All the wolf prophets declared her the wolf of the age, being born from the king. As the years went by, something went terribly wrong. The young wolf soon discovered she possessed powers beyond her imagination. From manipulating fire and lightning, to slowing time, she knew that she was not the same. She spent plenty of time with the prophets, listening to their stories, hoping to obtain knowledge about her abnormalties. One of their stories told of a great war between the beasts, and held a certain amount of significance. 'One hundred years ago, in a another time of darkness, much like this one, a war raged between the beasts. The wolves aligned themselves with familiars; the good with the good and the bad with the bad. They could feel it in their spine, something bad was going to happen. Simple disputes turned into a full scale battle, and many wolves were dying. Out of the shadows walked a wolf of pure black, and deadly intent. She ran, and lept into the battle without any regard for her own life. She was a freak in the eyes of the rest of the wolf clan, they were jealous of her special abilities. Why did she possess fire, lighting, time, and many other strengths to herself? With a mighty howl, she slowed time, suspending the warriors in a perpetual pause. She lowered her muzzle and turned to face the leaders of the two sides of battle. "You must stop fighting, and now. Your defiance to nature has brought a calamity to these lands. You are imbalancing the very soil you walk on. Do you wish to destroy what sustains you?" She spoke with such intensity, but the warriors failed to move. She knew that they could still hear though. She animated them again, and the warriors promised to stop fighting. She let them go. The warrors never bothered her again, too scared to get on her bad side. She died at a very old age. No one has seen such a wolf since then, but they say they come during a time of war, a guardian if you will.' She felt the pain of the she-wolf from the past. She was considered a freak? Frightened and scared, she refused to tell anyone of her powers. Years went by and she grew more powerful. She left the pack to live somewhere farther away, but still within range of the old pack. She honed her powers alone, training her mind and her body. As the years passed she heard whispers of a battle ahead. She wasn't sure if she should believe what she heard, but the story still lingered in her head. No one has seen such a wolf since then, but they say they come during a time of war, a guardian if you will. She shuddered. A few more years went by, and she still heard of war. She loped to her old pack, figuring she could ask them about the rumors. The quietly confided to her that they had taken sides with the lights. Taken sides? Just like in the story! That meant war. Fast-forward three years. The wolves have engaged battle, a seemingly repetitive experience. Bloodshed and violence was everywhere. The black she-wolf knew what she needed to do. She ran and leapt into battle. She was bruised and bloody, bitten and broken by the end of the fight, lying in a mass of black fur and blood. From her body rose a spirit of purple. It surrounded the wolves and punished them for their defiance against nature. The sound of their yelping filled the valley. Her spirit entered their bodies, infiltrating their senses. They had been punished, but given a gift. Each wolf discovered he had his own power. Some had fire, some water, some snow. Others could manipulate time, space or sun. Many others frolicked with nature or danced in the lightning. They had all been gifted with Sensation.
